3 Days in Split: A Slow Travel Guide

Split is one of those cities that rewards slow travel. Instead of rushing between attractions, I spent three days simply living inside the city — morning coffee on Riva, long swims, and evenings wandering Diocletian’s Palace. Day one was all about orientation. I explored the old town, climbed the Bell Tower for the view, and got lost in narrow stone streets. Lunch was a simple seafood pasta in a tiny family restaurant — one of the best meals of the trip. Day two I focused on the sea. Bacvice beach is lively, but walking further east you’ll find quieter spots locals prefer. I rented a paddleboard and spent hours drifting along the coast. The final day was my favorite — Marjan Hill. It feels like nature inside the city. Pine forests, viewpoints, and hidden swimming spots made it the perfect slow ending.
